Special Announcement: COVID-19 & LIVE AUDITIONS FOR DAZZLERS AND COLOR GUARD

To contain the spread of COVID-19 and comply with the governor’s "stay-at-home" order, Dazzler and Color Guard live auditions normally scheduled to be held on campus have been cancelled. All Dazzler and Color Guard auditions for new members will take place via recorded submissions. (Brass, Woodwind and Percussion members do not audition.)

The Marching Salukis provide entertainment and school spirit at countless SIU athletic events. Over 175 strong, the members of the band represent every college and major in the University. They take part and are leaders in an incredible variety of academic and extracurricular pursuits. Discipline, teamwork, dedication – all are lessons learned on the marching band field.

The Marching Salukis also provide an environment to learn teamwork, time management, self discipline, and other important life-lessons that supplement those taught in the academic classroom. Its supporters are friends, alumni, and advocates of the University who recognize the value of the Marching Band experience and are essential to the program's success.

Saluki Pep Band

The Saluki Pep Band performs for men's and women's regular season home basketball games.

The band travels with the team every season to the Men's and Women's Missouri Valley Conference Tournaments as well as any post season tournaments.

The Saluki Pep Band is directed by Dr. George Brozak, Associate Director of Bands and Director of Athletic Bands.

Members should enroll in Music 012, section 1 for one hour of credit for the fall and spring semester.
